Deivide Correa (Contra Mestre DvD) was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He has been training and teaching Capoeira for over 20 years. In 2008, DvD moved to Sydney, Australia, seeking a new life adventure.

Throughout his life, he has trained in Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Muay Thai. He has participated in numerous competitions and workshops around the world.

Capoeira and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are Contra Mestre DvD's passions. He teaches both at Tribo Capoeira and Alliance BJJ Northern Beaches, as well as at many schools and childcare centers around Northern Beaches.

His passions go beyond physical training; DvD has recorded three Capoeira albums and written a book. In 2024, he received an honorary doctorate for cultural contribution in Brazil from the São Paulo Council for his years of teaching Capoeira.
